I am also a Findley researcher but became stuck several years ago and then became interested in other lines. Donna Mason told me about you today and I found your new website - thus my contacting you. I have a large volume of Findley documents that I have collected from Pennsylvania Courthouses. They are sitting in my file cabinet at the moment. I don't remember any more, what portion I have transcribed but I think most of them have not been done. I will need to check. If you are interested in any of what I have, I will be happy to send you what I have done and anything I do in the future. I can PFD my family group sheets - I use Legacy Family Tree, for my program - and email them to you, if you are interested in them. If so, I would appreciate it if you could check your database to see if you have a connection to my Jesse Findley who was born about 1795 in Somerset County, PA and died in Jan 1851 in Westmoreland Co, PA. He married Mary Jane Trout. I have found one Will written by William Findley who mentions a Jesse, but I get the sense that my Jesse is the wrong age to be his son. I, too, am descended from a Finley line, but it is completely in Canada. I have been able to go back as far as a James Finley, b. abt. 1816 in Scotland, married Eliza, and raised a family of 9 children in Belfast, Ireland before emigrating to Ontario, Canada in 1858. I have approx. 700 descendants of this tree if you are interested. It is on FTM 16 or I can produce a genie report. If anyone can connect my James Finley to your tree I would be delighted.
