As one who has admired and studied the lifesyle of the Wolf, I certainly support any and all efforts to keep this maganificant animal free and healthy in our screwed up planet. As you've correctly alluded, no Wolf would willingly encounter a human. I despise hunters. Especially those who would kill wolves just for the thrill of the "sport". A far better sport would be to arm the Wolf and see who win that one. If you aren't aware of Jim and Jamie Dutcher and their incredible book "Wolves at our Door" (as well as the PBS documentary based on the book), do yourself a favor and read this book. It's awesome. The Dutchers spent 6 yrs living within a Wolf pack. A very moving and insightful work. They live in Ketchum, Idaho-- the site of the pack when they did their research and filming. Keep up the fine work. It does matter. Someday the Wolf will return to his rightful place in our society.
