My brother Aaron and I are the sons of Robert Darrel Byrd who was born in Oklahoma. All I know about my grandfather is that he currently lives in Texas; I think his name is Robert, and he would probably be in his 90’s. I don’t have a lot of information because my dad only met him once or twice. My Grandmothers maiden name was Johnny Pierc and now Johnny Simmons. She is 89 years old and lives in Duke Ok. My grandfather was James Ezra Byrd Sr and his father was William Pius Byrd. My grandfather was married twice and is rumored to have had a son by his first wife. From what has been passed down, he would have been named James Ezra Byrd Jr. But when my grandfather married my grandmother they named their eldest son "JR". If anyone has any info I would certainly appreciate it, and if I can be of any assistance to anyone please let me know !

Their whole family is listed on the pages you show from the Dawes rolls. My grandmother was Fitzhugh. Funny thing, she married my grandfather, AS Lee from Brownwood. So I'm searching for info in Brownwood and come up with all this Bird info. Small world, isn't it?
