Comments: Does anyone have knowledge of Chris Skillen, he played bass in a couple of bands (I think one of them was Late Harvest) I have not seen Chris for many years

Comments: Hi , read with interest the article about Carlyle the band I played in in the 70's. A few points to correct the score I didn't leave for Norway in 1977 but in 1979. In between 77 & 79 when Carlyle broke up Brian Ward , Tony Johnstone and myself formed The Pheomix Blues Band together with Olly Alcock , Bobby Habbick and Ian Dalgleish ex Strauss. We played together mostly at Micky Potts's Mick's Club and other palces around Cumbria . A guest who regularly appeared with us was harp player Craig Duggan who later formed " Borderline " with Kenny Kendall Brian Armstrong and a pedal steel player who's name I sadly forget. When I think back to the 70's there are a number of bands that unfortunately aren't included on your list . If we start with Dave Bell Trio who played the Terrier every Wednesday night for an eternity - sadly Dave died some years ago but no doubt the others are still kicking. Brian Ward's band Mayfair with Robin "Polly " Holiday Phil Cook ( England +++++ ) Tony Johnstone and Brian Witherington also sadly departed. Jawbone With Ray Parr and Phil Logan who later became Tambourine with many lineups including Arthur Belcher Stan Harrison & Terry Mills and another vocalist I can't remember his name but worked for JT Dove's. Then there was Nessie with Colin Mathison , Iain Smith , Bert from Studio Music. The various lineups with Captain Flint. Jonny's Roccos with Bob Fish and a whole number of other musos . You should talk to Andy Park he'll still remeber all these acts - he made money from us all. Since I moved to Norway I've kept my hand in with playing repairing and building guitars here .Keep up the good work with the website I had a blast reading it but it would have been even cooler if many of the other great acts had been there too .
Cheers and all the best .

Comments: Thanks for the previous posting and my apologies to Kevin Iverson (later Junkyard Angel) for calling him Ian... just my age and it was sometimes a bit of a haze around those times... Once again GREAT website.
