I was in the S-1 section. My close friends were Manny Cardenas, George Guthrie, Jack Anshutz, Al Jones, Robert Bonney. Manny was killed at Dong Tam. My replacement Jones I don't remember his 1st name was wounded in the same attack, he left Nam before I did. I never went down to the delta. I stayed in the rear detachment in Bear Cat with the mailman and a 2nd lt. I left Apr. 67.
