We found the website peacemovement.de as a forum to facilitate a worldwide peace demonstration.
It is non-political and is not affiliated to any political parties or NGOs.
It is open to anyone who wants to participate in organising such worldwide demonstration, for peace, and against violence, war and nuclear rearmament.
We would like to ask any participant to leave their political differences out, and unite to get this demonstration off the ground.
This website is meant to offer a place to exchange information, to help people organise this demonstration wherever they live, in whatever country or continent, and to help people join in from all over the world.
This website is meant to work like a snowball which starts an avalanche!
We hope to set a date, where from the first sunrise at the international dateline, one demonstration after the other will roll across the globe. There is no fixed format: you can sing, you can dance - you can fly you kites or sail all your sailing boats! You can have a corso of your motorbikes, you can rock, you can play jazz - you can let off fireworks or ring all the church bells!
Anyone can show in their own way that we all are fed up with violence, with war and the threat of a nuclear holocaust.
It is time for us to show the mighty of this world that we are the people!
It is our earth, our lives, the lives of our children, friends, sisters and brothers!
Beyond frontiers, politics, faiths and divisions: we will stand up four our friends everywhere, and we refuse to let this threat hang over us.
Lets make this snowball into an avalanche - an avalanche for peace, for friendship, an avalanche which shall engulf war and the misery it brings to us all!
