I plan to spend some time researching my family history. I hope there is a Bed & Breakfast or a small inn or something to stay in Snaith for a night or two. ---------- THIS WAS TAKEN FROM AN OLD FAMILY BIBLE: "Ann Gell, wife of Thomas Gell, was born in the year of our Lord 1769 and registered in the Book of Baptisms xxxxx to the Parish Church of Snaith on the 16th day of July. Her maiden name was Ann Routh. She departed this life the 31st day of August 1831, aged 62 years. Thomas and Ann were maryed on Old Midsomers Day 1791." (quoted from family Bible held by Clarence Gell in the 1950's.) --- Possibly the spelling of her last name might have been ROULTH. A branch of the family tree found on the internet has identical birth years, children's names, and grandchildren's names, so it must be the same person, but they spell it ROULTH instead of ROUTH.
