I appreciate the fact that you Brother, so boldy speak out for Christ. Very few Christians are doing that today, which breaks my heart. It is so easy to get discouraged and to think that you are the only one with a passion for revealing this message or for encouraging other Christians to be on fire for God. But do not let the devil decieve you Brother! There may just be a few of us, but even scripture says that many are called but few are chosen. While I agreed with much of what you have said on here, I want to point something out to you. I like your interpretation of what it means to be hot or cold. But I want to point this out, that sometimes you need cold water and sometimes you need hot water. Cold water is refreshing on a hot summer day, and hot water is comforting while taking a shower. Both are necessary. I believe that Christ was talking about extremes in that passage. He was saying that He wants us 100% focused on Him, and living for Him. That message was for those who are saved, therefore as a Christian you might be hot or you might be cold. Because God needs us all in different ways. But He wants none of that in the middle, where we are not passionate and not fully surrendering to Him. You mentioned on this site that you have been saved for only a year, well the light that God has given you on this is amazing and I am excited for you! Don't stop seeking! I too have only been saved a short while, and am rather young. It can be so discourageing to see people around me that claim to have been Children of God for years, and yet they are not as serious or as deep as me, and yet they have been saved for so much longer. Don't stop getting this word out. Continue on my Brother! -Love and prayers, from a Sister in Christ |
