Comments: I wrote you about 2 years ago. I have 2 original oils on canvas one of myself and one of my brother painted by Margaret Keane in 1954 before she married Walter. 3'x3'. I can't seem to get it appraised for insurance purposes. One appraiser said I should consider giving it to a museum. What do you know about other portraits from the early 1950's? I sent you the picture 2 years ago. Yes, they have big eyes. Margaret has also seen the portraits by email.

Comments: I loved your site.I learned so much about the Keanes.I knew nothing of them before.Long story short....My garandparents had The Stray, they passed away over 25 years ago.My Dad held onto the it.I resently came acrossed it in his garage and he gave it to me.I belive it is an origanal.Hand written on the back it says "The Stray by W. Keane SF.I would be interrested in selling it.
