Comments: I'm 60 years old and just came across Blaze Foley's music this year.I was quick to buy all of the CD's available.I never was really drawn to this type of music, but I can't seem to stop listening. The more I play these CD's,the more I feel that I have lost a good friend.

My compliments on a great Blaze Foley website:

http://home.earthlink.net/~stewells/index.html

I am a fan of Blaze and have been interested in him and his life for the past couple of years. I was looking at his Wikipedia Site:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blaze_Foley

aned I was thinking that his site needs a picture of Blaze.

I sent the attached email to C.P. Vaughn (http://www.cpvaughn.com/) asking for his permission to his copyrighted photo for Blaze's Wikipedia Page.

Please let me know if you agree or if you would give your permission to use any other Copyrighted photos that you might have in its place.

Thanks again for keeping this great artist's music and memory alive.

There are some great tragedies that take place that the world just never hears about or undertands. That January guy who killed him did this world a huge dis-service. Who knows what great and profound music Blaze would have yet contrinuted to the world.

Take care --

Mr. Vaughn --

I was browsing the site:

http://blazefoley.net/pitchers/

and came across this picture.

Being a fan of Blaze, I was updating his Wikipedia Page at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blaze_Foley and was wondering if I could obtain your permission to use your picture as the image for Blaze's Biography on Wikipedia.

I would like to submit this photo to Wikipedia with the Licensing description that the Copyright holder gave me permission to use this work only in Wikipedia Articles.

Not real sure how this works as this is the first time I have made this request.

Thanks for your time.

Comments: I was in the original Howlers in Austin in '76 - '79. I was known as Uncle Tee-Tot in those days. We called Blaze "Deputy Dawg" - he was a good friend and often played during our breaks at the Rome Inn,Soap Creek, Cheatham St., etc.

Comments: I saw Blaze perform numerous times, first in Houston then in Austin. We'd both moved here by the time that I saw him play here. I never saw the bad side of Blaze but I sure did hear the stories. His talent was unquestionable, unfortunately so was his alcoholism. There were always stories going around of something dumb that he'd done when drunk. However, everyone that I knew who knew him said that he had a heart and soul of gold and suffered literally for all of the injustices that he saw and felt. I'm glad that I got to see him, glad to see that he's finally getting some positive attention and still damned sorry that he is gone. Thanks for doing this website.

Comments: Injustice is what I fight everyday. After a dog ate 47 chickens and 27 ducks of mine, I tried to get my duck out of the dogs mouth and it showed me its teeth and was about to atack so I shot it and it happened to be a state patrolman's dog (4 years of slaughter). Now, I live under continuous threat. They took my horse, my son, all my income (SSI) of deceased husband from 4,000.00 dollars a month to (0)zero income and wont give me any aid through the system. I am about to loose my home and now, my retirement income that my deceased husband left me and my son is all gone. The department of social service is helping and now they falsified my medical records (left unattended @ Courthouse)told my father I was a danger to myself and others and injected me with drugs and locked me in a mental hospital in handcuffs and strapped me in, gave me a drug called haldol, and through me in front of a judge and said I was incompetent. I can't even view my own casefile to see what they have against me on record. My son (15) is with this cops daughter who is sharing in my social security and I never see my sweet son. This is what BLAZE FOLEY means to me: He was killed because he did not back down and I am fighting the system and they will probably do me in one day but, I am never going to lay down and let them get to me completely. It's sad what people can do if they have the power to do it! God Bless, You Blaze! You were true till the end! Gypsy CajunLady on myspace and youtube(gypsycajunlady69420)
