All my friends are Canucks fans, so it's nice to see other Vancouverites support the Oil. Wouldn't it be crazy if the Canucks and Oilers met in the first round? What do people think of watching some Oilers playoff games together in a pub or something? As for the last message posted by the anti-Oilers person, you mentioned that Edmontonians are obnoxious and rude and you'd be embarrassed to live in Edmonton...well, did you notice that we live in Vancouver?? I don't care what your flippin' opinion of people living in Edmonton is, it has nothing to do with the strength of the hockey team. As for your implication that the Flames are better than the Oilers... Ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!! At least the Oilers haven't missed the playoffs for the 7th (or is it more?) straight season!

You rule for setting up a site for the best hockey fans in this city, filled with nothing but complaining canuck fans. Do these people honestly think they know what it means to have a successful franchise? Me: born in Edmonton 1976, moved to Rmd 1987. I had the pleasure of seeing the oilers '84 vs the Isl's and a few time vs the flames over the next few years. I also saw them a few times here in Vancouver. The oilers are the one team in the league that still plays with heart every night win or lose. I can't stand the thought of the Edmonton franchise not existing, and it's good to know that people outside of the Edmonton realize that they are an important part of hockey in Canada. I pose a question to Oiler fans. Which Oiler team do you think was the best of all time? My pick is the 1987-1988 team. Do you think any recent Oiler teams could have won a championship had they stayed together?

I go and see the Oilers every time they are in town here. I also get to a few games a year in Edmonton, I have to visit my mom sometimes so I schedule the trip when the Oilers are at home. I also got centre ice this year and get to watch almost all the Oilers games. Everyone I know here is either a Canucks fan or a Montreal fan, its starting to make me sick. I need to hear from some Oilers fans!!!
