My great,great grandfather and his brother came over to N.Z. via Australia (I think)and one brother settled in the Manawatu/Wairarapa district in the North Island, and the other down here in the South Island. He? wrote the New Zealand national anthem, Sir Thomas Bracken. Have got the family tree a cousin has done somewhere, must find and refresh. Anyways, hi to all you other Bracken's out there.
