was just checkin' out some other peoples early blazers...Just about done restoring my '72'. I am a proffesional bodyman and mechanic and I am finally getting around to sprucing up my old blazer. My other ride is a 1959 chevy apache 3200. with some modifications I cant live without like 4wheel drive. and as ironic as it is an 84 blazer that I purchased all completely rusted away became the drive train donor for the old 59. I had the 59 since I was 16 and the 72 blazer I've had since I was 20. both are in the process of restoration and both are about done bbut my blazer will be finished in about another week but it will have to sport gray primer till the spring when I will put the original dark green paint back on it. but for now it will go hunting like the old days without being green. I havent driven this rig in 8 years. well ok its plowed the driveway a few times since but for the most part its been parked for 8 years. first the original 307 was yanked and then the ss350 I yanked from a 78 ss elcamino with 80,000 on it became the starting point of an engine rebuild that is now crankin some serious power, then I rebuilt the original th350 and modified it to my personal liking. the np 205 of course was just a simple gasket replacement and some paint to put the drivetrain to what it is today. now you have to remember I have done all this over some time due to never getting the time to work on my own stuff but now that the last part (the body) is about complete it will get squirted gray for the winter. This truck hasnt been in the bush hunting in 8 years and I'm glad to have it back together and ready to 4wheel. the last two years my 4dr s10 blazer couldnt do the 30 minute trip to the top of the mountain...inclement weather extreme...the 72's ya just point and they keep on going like a tank without tracks! keep up the site I'll send ya pictures of both when they get sprayed. yeah yeah its a blazer site i know but this blazer owner has more than just one cool chevy truck!!!!
