My family on my mother's side come from Brunswick. I spent many a summer with my grandmother, Mary J. Masters(Kahler) and my Aunt Wilma Kaiser. Grandma live at 707 Broadway and my aunt lived at 501 Herring. Both are buried in Elliott Grove Cemetery, along with many relatives that I knew when I was a kid.
I still have cousins that live there. I always loved coming to Brunswick and hope to come back through again soon. Great website.

Born in Brunswick in 1956 to Alfred and Evelyn Wohlgemuth. Left in 1960 to live in Poplar Bluff, MO. Spent my summers up to age 14 in Brunswick with my grandparents, Roy and Oveta Wohlgemuth, and Grover and Mary Barbour Duffield.

My grandmother,Viola Gaines Kemp Johnson was E. B. Johnson's second wife. He owned a dry goods store and they lived at the Florence Hotel. My mother's name was Lucile Gaines Murphy and the family lived in several towns in the area--Triplett, etc. I visited Brunswick and my grandma often in the l950s. Returned to see the town recently in about 2002.
