I think his is one of the rare suicides that took courage and not cowardice. First off he wasn't guilty of anything but a lot less than most politicians, then secondly his family was basically broke because of the legal system, so by him suiciding while still in office, his family was set. God, it is hard to watch, not the violence of it, that is shocking at first, but doesn't really last, it's the pain in his voice, the despair, and how apparent it was that it was the road he wanted to go down, but seemed the best one left to take. I really hope that judge who felt "invigorated" by his guilty verdict and made clear he was going to roof him when his only non snitch co-conspirator got only a year, is either rotting in hell or in alot of pain right now. But I think ol Budd got the last laugh because the state had to pay his family over four times what he was accused of taking. F*&# You Pennsylvania

I do not know, as do any of us, whether or not Budd was truly innocent. But I do know, that both guilty and innocent people are, indeed, people and I sympathize with him. One of my friends shot himself in the head and the exploitation of Budd reminds me of classmates who gave false sympathies and made jokes about my friend. Havens like this site are comforting and I hope it never goes down.

He was framed. Honestly I hate it how sites like encyclapedia dramatica and 4chan make fun of it with their "an hero/did it for the lulz" bullshit. honestly those people are morons. if you know everything behind it, you'd find out why he did it. poor guy...everyone from where he lived said he was a nice man... RIP, Budd. we miss ya.
