1931 my family left home {san diego} for a drive to oregon. our car? a 1937 essex, {small studibaker}
half way to long beach, with dad at about 40 mph we had a pickwick duplex rite on our rear bumper, to this small childs eye'z it was like a choo~choo trying to run us over.
finally the road clear'd a bit and it shot passed us. as it went by i could see in the lower windows a very fancy seating arriangment.
did my childish eye's play tricks on me? was it really that huge? i'd love to see one again if there are any still in exhistance.
anybody know where one mite be in absolutely any condition this great granfather could go see.
thanx grand paw billy
