I moved to Arizona 10 years ago, and was appalled to find that they have something called "Urban Camping"..its not just a great thing to do, it's also a way of getting a ticket! I have never heard something so anal in all of my life. Does anybody know if it is really placed into law, that you can not lay down a blanket in Tempe, AZ., at Tempe town lake, or any of the other parks, and take a nap with your 3 1/2 year old or you will be issued a verbal warning, then an urban camping ticket. I lived in Tempe half of the total time I have lived in AZ., so all of my musical connections, and friends are there. So I will spend a good 4-6 hours on the metro bus system thats (round trip) Just so I can book a band, promote a show, play a show, or hang out with friends @ Starbucks. Does anyone know any thing about this Urban Camping? Just because I look a certain way, (gypsy) does this mean that I have to be a target for an Urban Camping ticket? And can I fight it? Thankyou Ana Giano/not a vagrant, just curious |
