We have several other famous Spano's around including, as you know, Senator Nick Spano; Chief County Executive of Weschester, Andrew Spano; and of course our other favorite, Joe Spano of Hill Street fame. My granfather was Guiseppe Gaspar Spano (allegedly from Palermo, Sicily) who emmigrated to America around 1900 and settled in Brooklyn, New York. I don't know too much about his family and it is possible that he had brothers and sisters who eventually left Sicily and came to these great shores. Personally, I would like to know more about your family as I have followed your career and background for many years. If you do get this message, I would like to hear from you in this regard.
