I have been in retail for almost seven years and it never ceases to amaze me the stupid rude people that come in. The worst thing that ever happened was when I was a new employee at Tandy [Radio Shack]. It was Christmas eve, 5pm. The night before was midnight trade, so we were all tired and happy that there was only 30 mins left. This middle aged woman comes in and asks us for AA rechargable batteries, so I said "I am sorry ma'am we are out, you could try Dick Smith's as they are only a short walk." Now she just loses it and starts swearing F this and F that and starts calling be a dumb c**t. Now the 2IC steps in and asks her to please leave, and then she starts screaming about how we ruined her Christmas and how we were all evil and we would go to hell, and how we refused to sell her products so she couldn't enjoy her Christmas. Mind you we had ordered 500 packs of those batteries, and we had been open extra hours for the past seven days. Being in the city we were even open Sundays at that time - 7yrs ago. But no, she wanted us to be open to 9pm on Christmas eve and spent what little time she had to get to the other store making the 2IC CRY. Now my 2IC was not someone I had ever expected to see cry, but what that woman had said had brought her to tears. So I called security and had her removed. Dragged out, still swearing. By that time it was closing and that was the example of Christmas humanity we were left with. Now I get some suck up, stupid customers, some that smell really rank, and some that are time wasters, but I have never really lost it. I did once demagnetise someones credit card after they called me a bitch. That was rewarding. I love this site and can't wait to read more! BTW has anyone been to Http://actsofgord.com ? That also makes it all worthwile. "Have A Nice Day"
