Comments: Hi,

I am an atheist as well. I enjoyed your succinct and informative presentation of man's innate psychological need for religion. However, I have some questions which i would love to hear your opinion on. These are issues which i have also struggled with.

1) Christians often say that Man is created with this 'space' for God. Well according to your theory, it sounds like you would have to agree! If we really are made to have this form of psychological protection, would it actually be healthier to join a religion?

2) This is from an entirely utilitarian point of view, but with the current climate of influence of the Christian Right, would atheists not be at the losing end by sitting out and being sidelined?

It would be great to hear your views on these.

Chen.

Comments: I like you're analytical approach towards atheism. Also, the fact that you do not quote other atheists you use theories that other atheists have not used. I appreciate strong atheists especially the topic of how atheists lose their rationality do to depression, death and lack of motivation.

Comments: I enjoyed the site. I have been atheist for the greater part of my eighty years. Although I have always spread the word, the need seems greater than ever. I am about to start a series of talks on the merit of a free mind. I am getting a few details together----that is how I came across your site.
