Comments: Marty and I would like to thank each and every person of the John T. Crawford Camp and the Sarah A. Crawford Auxilliary for the Civil War reenactment at the Old Stone Tavern located in Worthington, PA from June 20-26, 2005. The response of the public was tremendous. But I don't think anyone was more moved by your presence than Marty and I. The combination of you and the tavern made the question of the tavern's future much more clear. The positive, interactive and, what we were told by many, fun way that people learned about the era made us truely understand that the tavern could be used for public education. We have had numerous people ask us when the next "camp" will be. The thought of having the tavern's backyard again come alive with tents and campfires, bean soup, biscuits and pudding, marches and gunfire, hoop dresses and bonnets, fife playing and civil war songs makes me smile. The 2006 Worthington Firemen's Carnival would greatly benifit from your presence and, if you would consider returning, we welcome the assistance in planning for your group being there next year. It has been a true honor meeting your group.

Comments: Whew! too many of ya'll Yankees here for me...just kidding. I am looking for someone with knowledge of the 155th PA Infantry. I live in the deep south in rural Mississippi where we don't see many Union soldier's graves. My church has one soldier buried there who was James Smith, b 19 March 1841, d 29August 1934. He was a pvt in Co B 155th Pennsylvania Infantry. We have many good ol' Rebs in our cemetery, but this feller was a surprise when I was doing this research. If anyone out there can give me any information on this fellow American, I'd be most appreciative.
