Comments:
I arrived as a single replacement to the main unit from Fort Dix that rode a boat out from Calif. Caught up with my squad at Tay Nihgn in the shadow of the Black Virgin. The out-post was barely secured by a company of 196th lt. infantry. Remember Brownsord, Bearga, Montoya----. Alot haS faded over time, sorry. If any of you remember me, the guy from Florida, please contact me. The last place we were was building BearCat from scratch and had our noses in alot of the North Vietmese tunnels we fornd after the ambush on Hwy #1 that was led by K troop of the 11th Armored Cav we were attached to. Big mess, alot of stink.
Pls contact me and we can help each other remember. This may not be such a good thing but Im sure it all wasen't rotten.

What a great site and God Bless to all who served. The only name I recognize is LTC Peixotto, Battalion Commander while I was there. Spent most of my tour at the Tan An River bridge. I can remember driving steel H piles around the bridge piers, and wrapping w/cyclone wire to keep divers from blowing the bridge. Would love to hear from anyone who remembers Lt. Marshall.

Started at Bearcat and then made the move to Camp Viking. Drove a 5 Ton Dump, Bucket loader, etc. Have a lot of memories from being over there some good, some bad, but I wouldn't trade any of them. Met and became friends with a lot of guys over there. If any of you remember me feel free to drop me a line.
