He had made his way from occupied France with two comrades and made it to Scotland and joined the forces there. While the division was still in Germany he married my Mom, taken from Poland by Germans to a labor farm. He died suddenly in 1994 before I could get his full history of where he had been. I try to get details from my Mom but at 88 her memory is failing so these sites are a wealth of information connecting the dots of my dad's life
