Fransen, Somehow I’m quite sure we are relatives. I was born in Brazil (February 22, 1941, City of Porto Alegre, State of Rio Grande do Sul) as well as my father and grandfather. Nevertheless my great-grandfather, Jacobus Fransen was born in Groningen, on October 25, 1824, son of Johannes Fransen and Aaltje Derks Groenhuis. He died on April 14, 1894 in Eelderwolde, Groningen, Holland. He married Philippine Katharine Kleinkauf on October 13, 1864 in Sapiranga, State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, parents of Jacob Fransen, my grandfather.
