I accidently came on to your web site. I am very happy to see it. I grew up on Lincoln Avenue in Willow Glen. We had a little grocery store called Busy Bee Market, until my Dad had a stroke, and we sold it , and my brother in law built our home on Lincoln Avenue. His name was Dominic C. Gagliardi.

For those who are interested in a true picture of what Sicilians and Sicilian Americans are all about, order a copy of A Family of Sicilians… which is now in its Tenth Anniversary issue. http://stores.lulu.com/ButtaciPublishing2008
When the book was first released in 1998, Italian American newspapers and magazines rated it as one of the best books ever written about Sicily and its people, both here and in America.
I wrote it to set the record straight, to let the public know we are not the Mafiosi the media projects to the world. The gangsters are a very tiny part of our Sicilianism, one we are not proud of.
Order yourself a copy or someone you know would enjoy reading about Sicilian pride!
