After I returned to Mensa in late 2001, after a four year absence, Cindy told me that she would go to the 2002 AG here in Phoenix if I were going to be there. She also told me about her cancer, and that she had a relapse after a remission. She asked me not to mention it to anyone because certain people had been accusing her of faking it; she was concerned that they would get on her case even harder if they heard that she had a relapse. There are some people in this organization who are just plain not nice. We lost contact afterwards when she stopped writing to the lists and newsgroups, but I was looking forward to seeing her at the AG. I was shocked and upset when I found out in May or June that she had passed away. I miss her, and will always miss her.
