According to his obit Asa was born in Kingston, Canada in 1814, he came to the US and settled in IL. I believe he had three brothers. They were; Samuel, Isaac, and Leman L. They all settled in IL. Claxton and Rosanna Wells Claxton. My great grandmother was Martha Jane Claxton She was Married to Enoch Hill They had three children Amos Chester born january 15, 1884 in Paoli. Enoch and Martha jane were divorced in the early 1900's I have a copy of their Divorce papers along with martha Jane's obituary. I also found her living with her mother in French lick Springs in either the 1910 or 1920 census
