The cabins were awesome and the owners were so welcoming. We got involved with all aspects of the resort from hiring boats to fish the lake and helping the hunters with there game. We are still on our road trip and may well pop back as we have not found any cabins as good as Finger Lake.

It's like time stands still when you're there. The peace and quiet, the Eagles and Ospreys soaring, the moose and bear in the marsh brings a solace to one's soul that can not be described. To all the fly fisherman out there, Finger Lake is a fly fishers paradise. A word to the wise though, have a good supply of Dragon Fly Nymphs and Green Doc Spratleys. When the fish are rising, a olive Caddis Fly pattern or a Tom Thumb works wonders. Be prepared, in one day we caught over 3 dozen fish on these patterns. A comment about Finger Lake would not be complete without a word about your hosts, Wayen and Corinne. There hospitality and knowledge of the area is second to none. If you want to find the meaning of serenity, pay a visit to Finger Lake,you will not be disappointed.
