What a joy to see so many wonderful tributes to my dear friend, and 'brother-in-spirit,' Dennis Wilson. To know him was to absolutely love him. Yes, a bit eccentric at times; lived far to close to the edge, but that was ALL a part of his charm. I can remember him as if it were yesterday. Beating the crap out of those drums--standing up at the back of the stage urging the audience on--pouring out his soul in "You Are So Beautiful," or "Forever." Watching him take pride in his kids, even his 'ex's.' I've said it before and I'll say it again. From almost the moment I met him (May 24, 1963) I knew was NOT destined to die of old age. Now, like John Belushi, Marilyn Monroe, Jim Morrison, James Dean, and others who dies so tragically and so young--he is destined to remain young in our minds and hearts, "forever."
