I trekked with Folkways Institute from Lukla to Tengboche in 1990 when the wooden bridge was still swinging at Phakding and the rope railing hung with prayer flags. A wooden cantilever - width of a log - was the span across the river where the 1985 washout of the Japanese dam occurred. I wondered what it looked like now. Guess it was chopped up for tourist fires. Thank you for the opportunity to wallow in memories.
