Long time no see, the last time I saw you was 1972 or 73 when we tried very hard to kill ourselves jumping off the White Horse hill or any other hill that was semi into the wind, that was before we realised that a king post and some top rigging might be handy to have, I remember one episode in Wales where the high tech kiddies swing seat and the RAF trouser belt lap strap ended up under my armpits on takeoff ! That was a short and exiting ride until somehow I managed to land in one piece after flying around hanging from the “A” frame, mind you in those days every flight was an adventure great days mate, and I agree with Mike Drury our days at Bicester were a lot of fun. Do you still only have one tape in the car ? WINGS WINGS WINGS every time I see a hang glider I hear WINGS, Band on the run.

I stayed with aviation and I am still flying anything I can beg borrow or steal for a few hours, I have a unrestricted PPL which I don’t get to use as often as I would like other than that life is good mate,

Its really good to see you living the dream, 200 type ratings, low level air racing go for it mate.

Comments: G'Day Gerry...We were at Halton together and I also got the Phillip Sassoon award for 217th entry, remember??...I am still in aviation work wise & currently working in Angola. I went back to gliding a couple of years back, I could still do it and it was still fun but not as much fun as the old days at Bicester! I now prefer sailing. I own a new Bavaria cruising yacht in a marina near our home in Perth Australia, if you are ever that way look me up. Still married for 31 years to one of my old gliding students..Fly safe. Mike.
