His name was Rudolph Gruber. He elisted in Jeffersonville at Camp Joe Holt and endured all that Col Ritter writes of until his dischare. I have learned much of what my great grandfather lived thorugh by reading the letters of Col Ritter. Thank you for placing them on the web!
