Loved the area, wine and scenery. Was a weapons troop. Anybody remember the Sayago brothers? Was back there visiting my son at Spanghalem. What memories! I remember the wine and beer fests in Traben-Trabech, Enkirch, Krov, and other spots along the Mosel. We had a nice bunch of guys over there best time of my life so far. Trying to see if the black jack crew is still out there. Cleves, Shakey Jake,Larry Allen,Parker,Carl,Mcbride,Tom,Mark,Smitty,Walter,George Chainy,Speller,and Boden. What a great time we had traveling over Europe.If anybody out there have any information on these guys let me know.Let's not forget Tom for whom we use to call him Hitler.

While I was there we were awarded the Outstanding Unit Award, the Dadaelion Award and the Phoenix Award!! We had a very hard working , dedicated team whom treated each other like family. My buddies and I also started the first Hahn Ice Hockey Team and a few of us also played for the Neuwied Vikings. We had a blast and I still miss the entire experience.
