Comments: I love your site and have a feeling we probably have some family ties as my maiden name is Custer. My mother was very big into the family roots research and she was in the midst of attempting to link the Ball-Custer link as she is a Ball. I have all of her records and would love to see if we link. She had shown the link between my dad and the General also. I would be interested in sharing.

Comments: Hello from Kaldenkirchen in Germany. I've found your site, because I was looking for people with roots from Kaldenkirchen, who are living in the United States.

Comments: I am not a member of the Harris-Custer family but I want to thank you for your research. I am a descendant of Jesse Kimball, 1760-1857, and Eliz. Roelofson. Their daughter Esther Kimball married Samuel Miller. Esther and Samuel's son William Hiram Miller (Elisha Miller's older brother) is my direct ancestor. I have been told by another Kimball-Miller descendant that Jesse Kimball and his father John both served in a Connecticut Regiment during the Revolutionary War and both are buried in the town of Montgomery in Gibson County, Indiana. Do you know anything about this? Again, thank you very much for your research back to the 1370's and making it available online. Sincerely, Jackie Adams

Comments: Dear ORENE HARRIS-CUSTER:
I am writing as a we are very distantly related. This is through Col Thomas Walker, who was the father of your distant grandfather, John Walker (b 1711) of Virginia. His brother, Dr Thomas Walker, was my grandfather's grandfather's grandfather (through my mother's side of the family). Dr Walker was the man who first explored KY and named the Cumberland Gap. Glad to know that the Walker clan has produced such great heirs!
