My name is Laurie and am a 39 year old "transplant" to CT from Reading PA where I have lived for the past year as my husband from there. About myself, I hit the big 40 in January and am going through a little "dsepression" and "blues" because of it but looking forward to a great holiday here in New England. I am currently working for a well know coffee shop chain in the heart of the Yale community. I have a BA in Spanish and love to learn new languages as I know some basic Arabic also and Maltese. I have many hobbies including cooking mainly ethnic and international cuisine, writing letters to penfriends, philosophy, history, reading, gardening, and my most recent endeavor of crocheting. I am having to attend a weekly women's crocheting group at my work to even learn how to properly do this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love to read mainly history books and my favorite author is James Michener. I love philosophy mainly Catholic writes such as Thomas Merton, THomas Aquinas, ect. I love to write to penfriends and am looking for a few lifelong lady penfriends as I lost touch with the two penfriends I was writing to after I got married a year ago. I have been married since September 2008 to a wonderful 50 year old veteran from Reading PA. I have one son Nicholas Manuel who turns 13 December 10th from my first marriage. I am very devoted to helping my community especially during all of the economic problems that our country has been having.
