Kayley was such an adorable little girl. I also lost my son Matthew to Mito disease in January 2007. He was 4 1/2 mos old and spent his entire life in the hospital. We were never given a definite diagnosis, just that there was a problem with his mitochondria and that it had affected his liver, heart and eventually all of his organs. We too had to make the horrible decision remove life support. After post mordem results they still have no known disease diagnosis. It is possible that Matthew's case is one of a kind.
