I was looking for a cool Ice Cream Parlor/Old Fashioned Soda Fountain to buy a gift card to, for my aunt and uncles 40th Anniversary. See my mom (aunts sister) just recently passed away, I was fortunate enough to be there ( I live in Oregon) for her last 4 hours. I found your website and also the story of Jessie, which made me sad and happy (she sounded like quite a girl), and I thought I would write. Thank you for sharing this with everyone. Anyway this particular Aunt, is the Matriarch in a family of, what was, 13 brothers and sisters (Cold winters and Catholic upbringing I guess). She has always been there for me and my family, as well as other's and I wanted to do something special for their 40th. Since I am out here, I need to do it through the mail (or something). Anyway they were married when she was 18 and he was 23. Soda Fountains and Ice Cream Parlors were more prevalent then. Anyway I thought it would be great to send them on a date, such as they may have done back then. Do you have pictures of your Ice Cream Parlor/Soda Fountain? Do you sell Gift Cards? |
