Possible relatives out there? My grandfather, Wilburn Tackett, was born in the early 1900's around Pontotoc Mississippi. He had several brothers and sisters, one brother, in particular, named George. He also had an uncle named Ben. At some point as a child he and his siblings were split up and placed in an orphanage I was told. He later married Era Mae Turner and moved to Northeast Arkansas. Information is sketchy concerning his siblings but as a young man in Mississippi and Arkansas he was a musician and played at various gatherings to supplement any sharecropping earnings. They were known to play guitar on the "front porch" on occasion around Tupelo where they lived as well. He was related to Martha Tackett, great-grandmother to Elvis. Would appreciate any acknowledgments to these links.
