I am guilty of slipping out of the pop metal scene when I joined the Navy in 1989. I spent most of the nineties in the military fighting the perian gulf war and hanging out in japan. but, I have recently gotten back into the genre again.I am currently reading the Motley Crue book "The Dirt" and it is awesome man. Your bands play casinos and state fairs now, they are the ones that are dead. First of all Alice in Chains was twice as "Metal" as any of those lame ass bands ever were....Period end of sentance. Metallica and Tool are huge fans and friends of theirs, you gonna discredit their musical ability too. Face it hair metal was and always be a musical joke and is deader than Kurt Cobain, so get on with your sad, pathetic existance and get over it. PS these bands lameness killed the scene not grunge music.
