Comments: I don't know if you will remember me...but I was friends with Jessica when you guys had first moved to Nelliston, NY. You guys were my neighbors. It is hard to believe sometimes that Jess is really gone. I can't believe that it has been 5 years. I remember such little things like how she had such small handwriting and how we had gotten ourselves kicked out of health class in 6th grade because we were laughing so hard at who knows what. :) I still think about her; she was so tiny but left such a huge impact on people, especially me. I wish that I could have been there for her more, but I am so happy to have known her and to have her considered me a friend. I think about her alot and wonder how everybody is doing. Jess was someone that had more life in her than anyone and was truely a brave person. I bet she has really shaken up Heaven :)with her wonderful personality and I will never forget her.

Comments: i came apon this site by accident.It really cought my eye when i realized that I shared the same name with Jessica.I ended up reading every thing pretty much on this site.It really touched my heart.Realizing that I am the same age as Jessica, made me think about my life and what if I am faced with such a battle.I now think about what i want to do with my life and work towords it every day.It is funny how just sharing a name can make such an impact on someones life.

Comments: My Heart goes out to you concerning your daughters loss and the loss of your marriage.
I was born with the alpha1 gene. I had a double lung and heart transplant in 2000. I too lost a marriage to the stress of all of this.
I do have a 2 1/2 year old son that carries the gene.
Sadly my ex-wife died in a car crash the 3rd of this month.
They say Life goes on. Right now I just dont see how.
I live with a great supportive brother and sister-in-law. And I do Believe in God, even though I feel He isn`t close right now.
Please, try to keep a good relationship with your wife, even keep Loving her. And remember to Hug and Kiss your kids as often as you can. Mostly, Tell them how much you "Love Them"! May God comfort you in your way back to "Living Again"! Jay
