Comments: A friend of mine ask me to post a message on any Viet Nam era websites that I use.

I have just started to try and connect up with the guys I served with in Nam. I was in the USAF, and was in Nam (Tuy Hoa & Bien Hoa) from May of 1970 to 1971. My outfit was the 9th SOS. We flew and wrenched on 02-B's and C-47's. As far as I can tell our unit was in Nam from 1967 to 1972. We flew our missions from three bases in Nam plus a couple of remote bases. We flew psyops missions using a large 1500 watt speaker mounted on the side of the aircraft spitting out propaganda. We also dumped leaflets over battle areas. We were know as the "Bullshi* Bombers". Since I began my search I have found three other guys that were in my unit. This is pretty amazing since there were not more than 150 members there from one year to the next.(we only did a one year hitch at a time)
Anyway... My request to you is this: That on all the forums you frequent that might have Vietnam Vets as members, make post that you are looking for Viet Nam era 9th SOS folks. Let's see what becomes of the effort. Thanks!

Any one who may relate to this shoot me an e-mail and I will forward it to Chip.

Comments: I worked at the Bomb Dump with the 388th MMS from Aug. 67 to Aug 68 and from Jan 69 to Jan 70. After my first tour, I was sent to Elgin AFB and was cross trained into Security Police. I volunteered for SEA as soon as I processed in. I went back to Korat AFB for a second tour within 4 months. I really enjoyed those 2 tours to Korat.

Comments: I was stationed in Korat in 1967-68 and was a corpman. I ran the ambulance section as well as the shot clinic. So in those years, I surely have met most or all of the men stationed there. I also worked the ER on occasion.

Comments: Great link to the past! I was a Bomb Builder with the 388th MMS from Nov '69 to Nov '70. Korat was pretty cool and the "Vil" was exceptional! Thanks for putting up such a cool site!
