Comments: Since it is today July 4th,2006 I send my best wishes to the USA people. I always enjoyed your travelogues Chris and they are sadly missed. Portland looks like a nice city. I travelled by Southern Pacific 'Coast Daylight' from LAX to SFO in 1960. Now I like the Surfliner trains, but can no longer travel due to requiring constant oxygen.

Comments: A GREAT SITE TO VIEW!!! I'M A FAN OF THE C B & Q ZEPHYRS THE OLD AND THE NEWER ONES , I SAW ALL THE ZEPHYRS EVERDAY, TILL THEY WERE GONE! ALL THE STEAM ENGINES EVER DAY. WATCHING THEM GO BY MY HOUSE IN CHICAGO AND STANDING RIGHT BY THE MAINLINE A GREAT TIME!

Comments: Nice pictures on this site! I am also interested in trains no matter which country. Do you know German trains? I like the steam-engined. By the way, there is a great train simulator for computers available, it is called "trainz" and was made in Australia. Have a look at auran.com (the producers).
