I have read on this subject and have debated fellow Christians. My reaction to the doctrine of Election was the same as yours when I was convinced that it was the truth. I was humbled and so much more greatful that God chose me. Reading your research has reminded me again, and I am in a state of wonder and of guilt. That God chose me and not another. That I will spend eternity in Heaven and with God and another will spend eternity in hell and seperated from God. Yes to God be the glory and may I thank Him every day for including me and my family into His Elect.
