Texans for Equal Justice is working hard to keep the bad guys where they belong - that is behind bars. Every month hundreds of felons come up for Parole Review and hundreds of victims are scurrying around to get protest letters to the Parole Board. TEJ has come up with a way to make this fast and simple in the electronic age. Our Webmaster has placed a simple form on our website to enable crime victims to (1) request that we do a on-line parole protest for them and (2) send a protest letter via email to the proper people. TEJ understands that people are busy. Most times they mean well and have every intention of mailing off a parole protest, but simply forget, or lack the time and the details of the offense to send a proper letter. Our Webmaster has made this simple. All you have to do is click on the parole protest button. Select an offender, fill out a simple form and your protest letter will be on it's way. Crime Victims that want TEJ to do an on-line protest for them can also request this from the same site. We will place their protest on our website and send an electronic request for protest letters to our e-mail list. TEJ provides this service at no cost to victims and survivors. My son Tyler Douglas Weaver was taken from us on November 11, 2000, the victim of a hit and run, to date we have no answers and the case remains unsolved. I found this poem in a Family Circle magazine, author unknown and Tyler's family has adopted it, everyone should live by this rule, The last words I had with Tyler were; "be careful, I Love You and Tyler said I Love You too mom.
IF I KNEW:
Hold your loved ones close today. Whisper in their ear
Tell them that you love them
And you'll always hold them dear
For tomorrow is promised no one
Young and old alkie
And today may be the last chance
To hold your loved ones tight.
