Comments: be sure i will give your site a thorough going over as i've been interrested in detecting for 25years. anything especially artifacts is fair game for me. i'm retired now so here goes. i want to get a prospecting ticket from gov. worth it ???. i own 135 acres of land near cariboo lake near black lake almost on the top of the mountain, got a little cabin (half-way built) and the grounds seam eroded by past glaciers and rock is seen everywhere, plus there one nice little valley complete with small stream at the bottom and there are numerous springs leaking everywhere. there even an old prospectors cabin by the side of the stream (completely burn now) that i usd to camp in before buying the property. sounds like heaven does'nt it and it will be and so close to the stars, unbeleivable. my question, any good books, good maps, good internet links, that i shud know about. i've contacted the dept of natural ressources by phone but nothing so far. i did find many years ago a little book on gold and panning in the townships and adjoigning states (like i said it's and old book)with an old prospectors map and my land is identified as gold bearing. it even gives names and towns of prospectors back in the 20/30's plus a few stories. thanks for permitting my posting and hope to hearing from you, regards, serge
