So, even this has not changed us. It is only when some dire, destructive force afflicts 'our own,' that we muster our courage to speak out against the tyranny and the injustice of a government we support.

This should not have come as a shock. Nor should 911 have been a shock. But we, as a culture, have allowed ourselves to be so dumbed-down, so comfortably numb that we are shocked, shocked that something like this could happen to US!
I don't know why I include myself in this, except I do live on the North American continent and have, for about the past 5 years, considered myself an American girl; mostly because of the advent of dictatorship in my own country.

I have spent my life in willing poverty, foregoing luxuries of ownership, disposable cash, all the things money can buy. I have consciously lived my life non-supportive of the political fraud of The United States Of America. My mind is brilliant, my talent awesome, but I will not barter these resources for capital gains at the expense of others.

America's soul is lost beyond redemption. Mother Nature will assure her right of abortion and rebirth. I am Jewish and in the esoteric teachings of Judaism, the Earth (nature) is the bride of G-d.

Apocalyptic? You figure it out. I'll give you a hint: this goes beyond racism, economics, politics, etc. If humans had united under a single issue, that of Global Warming, regardless of color, faith, politics, nations, we might have made a difference and created a truly brave new world, but we didn't and it is far too late to turn back the tide of nature.

If we do not follow the motto: Live Free or Die, we will surely die.
