Here is a place to share any memories of Jimmy that you have jimmy drove for frank merkler and dick poiry in the late 40's and early 50's in car #404 and later for dick poiry in car #6. they ran in csra and aaa prior to usac. they were very successful in the sprint car circuit, than known as big cars.i can reember when he drove semi-trucks and would drive to fort wayne ind. and park at the house and all three plus some tag alongs would set out sunday morning for the track that day. the cars had hisso and hal engines in them.jimmy ran with the best of them.

Comments: Bob Brown was my Uncle and my father Carl Brown worked on the pit crew. I remember going the the races every Sunday. Dad said that they had to tear down the car each week to replace the main bearings.
