Comments: Just wanted to thank you for compiling this information without bias. Makes my research efforts a little easier, as I too am doing my own research of music forms in the church. I'm a music lover, that has never heard an inteligent explanation, on the subject of music appropriateness in church, given to the youth of our church. I want to try to do this in a documentary format. Peace.

Comments: First I want to clarify, I am not against Christian Rock Music. The scriptures say God should be reverenced. How does loud music within church worship equate to reverence?

Comments: Brother, you could not have been more incorrect in your analysis. The SDA Church worships just the way outlined and directed by Scripture. Notice that of ALL of the Scriptural references you make, not one of them referred to the temple worship. You make a common mistake like many others who want to see drums and excessive noise in God's house. That mistake is to unite where the Bible references parades with the temple worship. Psalms 150 in no way refers to the temple worship. It's simply referring to outdoor meetings like parades, such as when the Ark of the Covenant was returning from the Philistines. Could you site historical references where drums were in Salomon's temple? There is none.

You're also incorrect about SDA Church being quiet as we sit by and listen. No we don't have interactive sermons in the Church, and it's still very edifying to all. What you suggest is similar to the noisy, emotionally charged, noisy service where you can't even hear yourself think. That is certainly NOT the way to worship, at least not the God of Heaven. Defending Christian rock is like saying there is Christian porn. The two just don't go together. I wonder how many young people you're leading astray with your spurious doctrine?

Comments: Hi there. I'd just like to thank you for all the wonderful info you've given on this site. When I came across so many hateful speeches and slanderings of Christian Rock (and I pretty much had just discovered Christian Rock) I started looking for arguments from the other side of the fence. I wasn't sure where I would end up in the debate. But after examining the Scriptural evidence I'm now convinced that there is nothing wrong with Christian Rock (when its done correctly). I now feel confortable to endeavor to buy some good albums of Christian Rock groups. Thanks so much for all the insight, links and ect.

God Bless you, and may He always rock your life!
