Comments: My husband and I have contemplated homeschooling prior to the birth of our eldest child. It seems that your family and ours have very similar styles and objectives in child "rearing" lol. I just wanted to formally thank you for sharing all of the information about your experience. My oldest (of 3 age 5 and under) is due to start Kindergarten in 6 months, and we are fully aware that she is far to ahead to enjoy the experience. Needless to say we are fearful and filled with dread knowing we'd be sending her into an unsupportive enviornment. This is a very big weight lifted to see there are others doing this on their own, and doing it well. I'm very appreciative of your insight, and much more relaxed having found it. :) Thank you

Comments: Hi there - I'm enjoying exploring your page. I am homeschooling my two dks, one of whom has ADHD. I really appreciate getting perspective from adults with ADD. One of my burning questions right now is about writing. My ds (8), like a lot of kids with ADD, reads at grade level, has excellent verbal skills, can dictate stories with complex sentence structures and great vocabulary, but if he went to write the word 'it', he'd have to ask how to spell it. There is a definite block between his brain and the paper. Some hsers say teach spelling, address the issue the left/right brain programs, others say let it be and he'll write when he's ready. What's your experience with writing?
