I teach blind children. They asked me to perform another monologue for Children in Need. I've even bought a flat cap for "The Outing".

I was born in Preston but was kidnapped and taken to Surrey when aged four. I learned to talk posh, then the buggers took me back up north aged eleven. I couldn't win. There's still a detectable vestige of my northern accent, which I am proud of. That's probably why I love performing these monologues.

Just needed a couple of Lancashire poems for a talent show (not competition) at my local church and came across you ont t'internet!
Shall be reading Ring o clogs and Greased Lightn'. Should go down a treat here. The S. oz's have trouble at the best of time understanding my Lancashire dialect. They often find it most amusing. May be in touch again for part two if they like it! good luck with the poems etc. Keep them coming. Reading them reminds me of my grandmother from Preston who never said an 'h' in her entire life. By the way my husband worked for BAe at Warton too! Ta Tah for now. Emma

The monologues are wonderful and very well written.
